IWL - Marks Beneath the Skin

If We Lost [link] is Live Journal based Harry Potter Role Playing game.

In an alternate reality, Voldemort killed Harry Potter and has plunged the world into darkness. People have grown up twisted by this nightmarish world. Some warriors of light have fallen to darkness, but some champions of dark have seen the light. And many walk a razors edge between the two.

Here we see Draco, glancing at his Dark Mark and thinking about all it has cost him. His personal code of honor has been broken, his best friend Theodore Nott is on the lamb, but most important of all, the love of his life, Irene Adler, a.k.a. Ginny Weasley, has left him, unwilling to support the philosophies he swore to uphold, even if he no longer believes in them.

Originally this picture was going to have an image of Theodore Nott as well, but when I drew it I realized that it would unbalance the picture.. While the Dark Mark was always going to be made of green broken lines, the decision to add color to the rest of the picture was last minute. When I drew Ginny's head I turned her hair red to accent the seperation between her hair and her skin. To balance the picture I put Draco in a blue robe.

I'm very pleased with how this picture came out. I'm particularly pleased with Draco's hair, which is a big deal for me, since I'm not good at slicked back hair in general. His hands also came out exceptionally well.

I may attempt to color this picture and put it up as well.
